Maximize the capacity on your 2011-style magazines with the CSRG Competition Follower & Spring Kit!

Our kit includes the following: 

  • CSRG 2011/1911DS Competition Follower, made from durable nylon
  • CSRG 11-coil or 13-coil Competition Spring (made by ISMI)
    • We recommend using 11-coil springs for 141.25mm magazines
    • We recommend using 13-coil springs for 171.25mm magazines
  • Competition follower does NOT lock the slide open after firing the last round
  • 23/24+1 capacity when used with 141.25mm Atlas/Checkmate/Staccato magazines (with competition-style basepads)
  • 29/30+1 capacity when used with a 171.25mm Atlas/Checkmate magazines (with competition-style basepads)
  • We recommend using a loading tool such as an UpLULA to achieve best results, and to fully load and unload the magazine a minimum of three times to set the spring in order to avoid malfunctions induced by excessive spring/feed lip pressure. 
  • Using this kit may still require you to tune your magazine tubes. CSRG is not responsible for malfunctions caused by out of spec or poorly tuned magazine tubes.

We have tested this spring kit in the following magazine tubes: 

  • Atlas
  • Checkmate/Staccato 
  • SVI

This is NOT compatible with MBX Extreme magazines.

    This product fixed the exact problem I was facing with needing a 140mm mag to hold more than 20 rounds. Fit, finish and installation was great. I’ll be ordering many more.

    Haven't had a chance to use em yet but they seem to function and hold whats advertised. Staccato 140mm tube with 4mm TTI base pad got me 23rd, Staccato 170mm tube with 4mm TTI base pad got me 29rd, Somewhat reloadable mags. Im sure once I used em a bit they'll break in. Springs and followers are definitely good quality.

    I swapped from MBX to Atlas mags to eliminate tuning but wasn’t crazy about losing a round in capacity. These springs and followers do exactly as described. After loading 3 times, I’ve got my 29+1 back. First match, they ran flawlessly. No rounds under the followers, even after ejected.

    Highly recommend. Was using MBX and had constant issues, constant need to clean. Switched to atlas tubes and these spring/follower combo. A lot less cleaning tubes and issues. Love them. Use in checkmate and atlas tubes.

    Seem well made, definitely strong but no way it’ll hold 24 in Atlas mags, 23 is tight and hard to seat even after multiple uses.

    I can verify that 24 rounds of 9mm fit into my Atlas magazines. It took a few rounds of loading/unloading to break in the spring. I have yet to test in live fire or a match so I'll try to follow up if there are any issues.
