  • CSRG 2011/1911DS Competition Follower, made from durable nylon
  • CSRG 11-coil or 13-coil Competition Spring (made by ISMI)
    • We recommend using 11-coil springs for 141.25mm magazines
    • We recommend using 13-coil springs for 171.25mm magazines
  • Competition follower does NOT lock the slide open after firing the last round
  • 23/24+1 capacity when used with 141.25mm Atlas/Checkmate/Staccato magazines (with competition-style basepads)
  • 29/30+1 capacity when used with a 171.25mm Atlas/Checkmate magazines (with competition-style basepads)
  • We recommend using a loading tool such as an UpLULA to achieve best results, and to fully load and unload the magazine a minimum of three times to set the spring in order to avoid malfunctions induced by excessive spring/feed lip pressure.
  • Using this kit may still require you to tune your magazine tubes. CSRG is not responsible for malfunctions caused by out of spec or poorly tuned magazine tubes.

We have tested this spring kit in the following magazine tubes:

  • Atlas
  • Checkmate/Staccato
  • SVI

This is NOT compatible with MBX Extreme magazines.

Holds 30+1 and 24+1 as advertised. Small break-in period for the 141 mags.

    Why pick a different follower

Posted by TJ on Nov 29th 2025

These followers literally saved my life, only having 23 in the pipe wasn’t enough, it was the 24th round when I needed it most that let me hit the no shoot with an extra round. after installation my eyes may have become a little more squinty which is why I might’ve needed the 24th round but better safe than sorry. Fit perfectly in atlas tubes and I believe they are dyed with soy sauce which is why they work so good and reliably.

    2011 spring and follower

There is definitely a break in period, left it loaded over night for 24 hours then loaded and unloaded 3 times. Repeated this process 3 times, but mine is still not working. I keep having the spring bind about halfway through a mag. I haven’t gotten through a full one yet, but have maybe shot 60 rounds through it. In have seen others work, but hope mine works the kinks out at 24+1.

Shit smacks so hard I told everyone at the bar to get some. I put them in my mags and I instantly shot 10% better and turned slightly more Asian. Mbx sucks buy these with atlas tubes!

Best 2011 follower/spring kit in the game

Posted by DK Lee on Nov 3rd 2025

This follower and spring kit offers outstanding reliability and performance for the price, making it one of the best options available for 2011-style magazines. In testing with an Atlas magazine, I was able to load 24 rounds and complete an entire match at 24+1 without any break-in period or malfunctions—feeding and ejection were consistent throughout. Spring tension and follower geometry provide smooth, predictable movement and proper stack alignment, even under match conditions. For those using it as a reload magazine, downloading to 23 rounds ensures easier seating on a closed slide. Overall, the kit delivers excellent capacity, reliability, and value, making it a top-tier choice for competitive shooters.
